College Transitions is seeking to hire several part-time College Counselors to serve students and families in a remote capacity. We are especially interested in qualified individuals with experience working in selective college admission offices.

Essential Duties:

College Counselors guide 9th-to-12th grade students through the entire college admissions process, providing support on the following tasks:

  • High school course planning
  • Extracurricular planning/resume development
  • Preparing for college interviews
  • College list development
  • Developing a college application calendar/timeline
  • Completing/reviewing applications

In addition to offering support with the above, College Counselors meet with students via video chat (e.g.,Zoom) to address questions and discuss application strategies.

Background:

Ideally, competitive candidates will have prior experience offering individual college guidance to high school and/or college students, as either a college admission or school-based counselor. Experience working at a selective college is preferred.

We believe this position could be ideal for former admission professionals who love their full-time job but who are looking to supplement their income through part-time work.

Background:
